Family owned since 1907 and now in its 4th generation, Mitchell Interflex is situated in a beautiful Pendle Valley straddling the County Border between Lancashire & the West Riding of Yorkshire. Occupying County Brook Mill, a heritage mill built along side the Leeds Liverpool Canal, Mitchell Interflex weaves a wide variety of fabrics as well as offering a bespoke design service, dry raising & emerising, cropping and CNC cutting services.

Flexibility and adaptability are the hallmarks of Mitchell Interflex, together with a steadfast reputation for manufacturing and the ‘raised finishing’ of quality fabrics. With a wide variety of loom widths and processing capabilities, the skilled artisan team at County Brook mill weave wool, cotton, linen and synthetic fabrics for a myriad of end uses – interiors, apparel, accessories, technical, medical and specialist textiles. The Raising plant in nearby Lameshaye, can raise, suede and emerise fabrics to modify the surface and texture. A double-sided cropping machine enables us to crop print–base fabrics. A Lectra CNC cutting machine provides cutting capability for specialist end-uses.

who we are
Mitchell Interflex is situated in an idyllic mill built over 250 years ago, nestled on the Lancashire/Yorkshire boundary. The mill lies adjacent to the Leeds Liverpool canal which was being built during this period. As such the mill has a long heritage of both cotton and wool fabric manufacturing – influenced by the Lancashire cotton trade as well as the Yorkshire woollen trade.
Four generations of the Mitchell family has resided at the mill since 1907 weaving a generation of heritage fabrics. Constant investment in machinery and plant means that the historic mill exterior belies a wealth of modern capacity within and at the raising plant nearby.
